DIRECTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF THE LITEFLUSH HANDLE.
Thank you for using the LiteFlush handle. You will help save the environment and also save money on your water bill. 1. Check to make sure your existing toilet tank is a rectangular shape. The exterior dimensions should be about 7" wide (or wider) and about 19" long (or longer) and about 12" tall (or taller). If your toilet it not rectangular in shape, this product will not work and should be returned to the store for a refund. 1a. Check to see if your toilet is a Mansfield type toilet. If it is, it will usually say Mansfield on the front of the toilet handle on the outside of the toilet. If your toilet is a Mansfield toilet, skip to the next section, take this product back to the store and exchange it for a LiteFlush handle for a Mansfield toilet. 2. Remove the chain attached to old toilet handle. Remove the old handle assembly. This is most often done by removing a plastic or metal nut on the inside of the toilet tank. Sometimes on toilets with metal nuts and handles, the nut will be difficult to remove and you will have to take a hacksaw and cut through the metal shaft part on the front of the toilet. 3. Take the new plastic screw and nut assembly. Unscrew the nut and put it aside. Put the threaded end through the small hole in the front of the toilet tank where the old handle used to be. 4. Screw on the plastic nut from the inside of the toilet tank. 5. Find the large assembly plastic assembly. Place it inside the toilet tank and from the inside, push the shaft through the hole until it reaches the outside. 6. Slide the large plastic handle on the shaft. 7. Slide the smaller plastic handle on the shaft. 8. Tighten the screw on the smaller plastic handle. 9. Remove the old flapper. Install the new flapper and dial or rotate the flapper so that the pointer points to about the number 7. 10. Connect the chain from the new flapper to one of the holes on the toilet handle. Make sure there is little or no slack in the chain. 11. The installation of the handle is now complete. 12. Test the operation of the handle by flushing with the larger handle. The most of the water in the toilet tank should flush and the large white float should return to rest against the left side of the toilet tank. If the white float does not return there, remove some slack in the chain. If this still does not help, add a second or third brass screw to the screw holes next to the first (already installed) brass screw. 13. Test the operation of the partial flush mechanism by flushing with the smaller handle. You can adjust the amount of water used in the partial flush to your preference by rotating the dial on the flapper. Number one is for a minimum flush and the number 10 is for a maximum flush.
